The Prestigious INDIA CLUB - WESTERN UNION UAE OPEN BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2007 is scheduled from Saturday, 19th May ’2007 onwards at India Club, Dubai.
The Entry Forms will be available at the India Club Reception. The last date for receiving entries will be Friday, 4th May 2007. For further details please contact 04 - 3371112.
There will be 17 different categories as under:
Girls (Singles) under 10 years / Boys (Singles) under 10 years / Girls (Singles) under 12 years / Boys (Singles) under 12 years / Girls (Singles) under 14 years / Boys (Singles) under 14 years / Girls (Singles) under 18 years / Boys (Singles) under 18 years / Boys (Doubles) under 18 years / Ladies Singles / Ladies Doubles / Men's Singles / Men's Doubles / Mixed Doubles / Veteran Singles (45 yrs & above) / Veteran Doubles (45 yrs & above) / Veteran Mixed Doubles (45 yrs & above / Lady Partner any age)
Resident U. A. E / A. G. C. C Players & Visit Visa Holders
The Tournament is open to all nationalities
( U. A. E Residents / A. G. C. C Players & Visit Visa Holders ).
Participation in Events
Each Player can take part in a maximum of 3 ( Three ) events only.
Re-submission / Changing of entries
Entries once submitted will be considered as final and the same cannot be changed for reason whatsoever after the submission deadline.
Minimum Entries Per Event
There should be a minimum of 8 entries per event. A particular event may be dropped due to insufficient entries.

RULES & REGULATIONS
- Entry fees should be paid in cash while submitting the forms & receipts should be produced before the match.
- All participants are requested to contact India Club office for the days, events and the timings, which will be put up on the INDIA CLUB NOTICE BOARD.
- Players are requested to report to the courts ½ hour before the time of the matches.
- Walkovers will be given if participants do not turn up in time for their matches. However, half an hour grace period will be allowed.
- Participants who are not members of the Club will be given a pass/ ID for self which will be valid for the duration of the tournament. The pass should be shown at the reception.
- Non-competitors and guests will be charged the normal guest fee. They should be accompanied by the participants or members of the India Club.
- All matches will be played according to INTERNATIONAL BADMINTON rules & regulations.
- DECISION OF THE UMPIRE / CHIEF REFREE WILL BE FINAL.
- TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE reserves the right to make any changes in the programme if necessary.
- The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without assigning any reason.
- The Committee reserves the right to check the proof of age.
- The Committee reserves the right to cancel any event, if the necessary requirements are not fulfilled or met with.
- All matches will be played at the INDIA CLUB BADMINTON COURTS.
- Entrance fees once paid will not be refunded unless the event is cancelled by the Organising Committee. An event will be held only if at least eight entries are received.
- If for any unavoidable reasons, an event or events, match or matches is /are postponed / cancelled, the Club will not be held responsible for the same.
- The last date for receipt of entries is Friday, 4th May '2007, and the tournament will commence from Thursday, 19th May '2007.
- To compete in the Veterans events, a participant should have completed 45 years of age respectively on Wednesday, 19th May '2007.
For the Ladies (Singles/Doubles) events, there is no minimum age limit.
- Doubles partners could be changed before the first match of the pair has been played. However, interchanging of the players in the draw is not permitted.
- Entries for Doubles must bear the names of both the players.
- Shuttlecocks will be provided by the Club.
- Players must wear Non - marking shoes.
